    Description

PLEASE READ! You are buying as is! Please ask any questions before bidding. I am not a dealer or a shop owner I’m just a doll lover downsizing in retirement. This Patsy Ann has been in my collection for a very long time. I bought her from a good friend who had her in her childhood. For a composition doll of the 1930s she is in excellent condition. She is marked on the back of her body with “EFFANBEE” “PATSY-ANN” PAT#1283558. She is all original paint with very very little crazing. She has a crack in the paint on her left neck seam some paint missing in the hip socket joints and paint flaking off of her feet. Her stringing is a little loose and she is a little floppy but she will still hold poses. She has a hole in her left foot and a,much tinier one in her right foot; not sure what they were for possibly a mold entrance. Her beautiful blue green tin eyes open and close well. She still has the majority of her eyelashes also. Her face paint is still beautiful all original from the day she was made. Her face has no rubs or scratches or flaking paint. Her head has minor scratches on the back of the head but no big missing pieces or chips. Her hair paint is still very nice and full with just a few rubs. She wears a very pale yellow cotton batiste dress with a high bodice yoke of white with white lace trim and also on the puffy sleeves. The sleeves elastic is still good and stretchy and the back neck has two round snap closures. It has no rips or stains, or tears and all seams and hems are still intact. Under the dress is a one piece Jumpsuit-like, pants and T-shirt garment in light weight white cotton batiste. The elastic at the leg openings have lost their stretchiness and are loose. This could easily be fixed with the elastic thread or new elastic. I will leave that to the new owners choice. She would be a great doll For anyone’s antique and vintage doll collection.
