  • Condition: Good vintage condition. Original human hair wig and clothes. Composition in very good condition. No crazing. Some light mottling to the complexion. A spot of missing paint on her lower lip, as pictured. The composition body has some light surface dirt from storage. The dress is in good condition but there are some light storage stains. Shoes and socks are as is. The socks have holes and are worn. The shoe laces are as is, as pictured.

    Description

    c1940s EFFANBEE 16" COMPOSITION GIRL DOLL DRESSED AS A BRIDESMAID.  SHE IS MARKED EFFANBEE IN RAISED LETTERING ON THE BACK OF HER NECK AND ON HER BACK.  SHE HAS HER ORIGINAL 'EFFANBEE' HEART WRIST TAG.
    The doll has a 5 piece jointed body. She has a brown human hair wig and blue sleep eyes.  She has a closed mouth with painted red lips.
    She is wearing a white taffeta gown and has a wrist corsage. She has shiny black oil cloth shoes and socks.  The clothes are all original.
    This doll is in good vintage condition. There is no crazing to the composition. Her facial paint is good but there is some mottling to her complexion. Her lower red lip has a spot of paint loss.   The composition is a little dirty, though.  Her face and body need a light cleaning. Her eyes are clear and they open and close nicely.  Her wig is a little bit mussed but still very good.  Her dress is in good condition but there are some light storage marks.  Her shoes and socks are original, but show aging. The socks have deteriorated with holes. The shoes are stable but need fastening.
