I acquired this beautiful and rare Effanbee doll last year from a collector and I have finally decided to part with it. This is a unique beauty - beautifully dressed and 21” inches tall. This is a crowning example of mid century aesthetics.
The dolls wrist has the beautiful effanbee tag wrapped around in pristine condition.
This is a beautiful example of Effanbee quality doll making. I have had it appraised and it is in keeping with the late 1930s-50s effanbee build.
The wear is consistent with age and some moth bites on clothes may be present
Clothing appears untagged, she comes with multiple outfits.
The head is wobbly and needs to be tightened but for display purposes it can be set up right.
There is some slight flaking on the skin as seen in the photos - which is again consistent with age and play. The eyes still roll back to close fairly consistently.
Apart from this as you can see in the photos the hair is a tiny bit unkempt and could use some straightening up.
