Here we have a lovely vintage 1965 Chipper or Miss Chips doll by Effanbee. She is marked "Effanbee, 1965, 1700" under her back hairline. This doll was in very sad shape when she came to me and I have done my best to restore her and make her happy again. Her lips had been painted with ink by a child and it had bled into the surrounding vinyl. I removed as much as I could and then repainted her lips in a carnation pink shade. I sealed the paint to prevent deterioration or damage. She has good body, limb and face coloring but her face/head have faded some over time as is common.Her body and limbs are more pink. It's not shocking, though. I gave her a thorough bath and shampoo/condition and I gave her a boil set to restore curl to her hair. I styled the hair in a fluffy, soft flip. She has beautiful eyes that open and close as they should with thick and dark eyelashes. Her eyes are blue and crystal clear. Joints are tight and hold a pose as they should. No chews or splits, just a little play wear here and there. She is spotless clean and smells nice and ready for display. She models a lovely vintage 60s handmade white cotton dress with a red grosgrain sash belt. Her shoes are red vinyl vintage 60s Mary Janes, one shoe is split in the back but it still fits snug. This is a lovely doll. I am pleased with my work on her. Give her a new home! Thanks for looking!
